Summer 2008 Olympic is finally over and Nike have put out this amazing “Air Force 1 IO Supreme Closing Ceremonies” in gold and laser print. Definitely some of the most visually striking shoes to be inspired by the Beijing Olympics. Primarily metallic gold with Chinese-inspired patterning covering large portions of the shoe. With solid use of black to break up the gold, these Air Force 1’s are definitely going to be hot collectors’ items, and one of the more enduring sneakers inspired by this year’s Olympics. The entire upper and insideout mid-sole features in metallic gold and Chinese motif, implying the dream of gold. These shoes come in a nice wooden box, with 08-08-08 inscribed on the top, commemorating the start date of the Beijing Olympics on August 8th, 2008.
