Our friend Karaterice and the New York Anime Festival (NYAF) today announced the Far East To East Showcase (FETES), bringing together seven of the best musical artists from both the far east and the east coast. FETES takes place at 74 Leonard street, NY, NY 10003, the historic knitting factory on September 27. 2008. THe doors will open at 6:30pm and scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm. In case anyone wonders, karaterice is a promoter of underground Asian rock culture bringing cutting edge performers to New York City since 2003. And as we mentioned yesterday, The New York Anime Festival(NYAF) is an anime, manga & Japanese pop culture convention fromt he creators of New York comic con which takes place on September 26th to 28th at Jacob Javits Center in New York City, where Karaterice would also maintain a booth at NYAF all weekend long where various FETES artists will appear.

The FETES musical lineup includes BakuBeni, Echostream, Mini-Rex, Falsies on Heat, Quaff, Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re, along with special guests The Notorious MSG. The evening is hosted by the “masters of mayhem,” the giant monster performance troupe Kaiju Big Battel.
