To commemorate the release of the OBEY/Stereo skateboard collaboration OBEY, Stereo and Matt Goldman teamed up to release a limited poster designed by Matt Goldman and Shepard Fairey. The initial poster offering sold out immediately with a few being given out at the release party. OBEY Clothing will be offering the hidden, remaining posters on their website at 1pm PST on Monday, April 13. In addition, 100 T-shirts were printed for the occasion. Most were given away at the party but a few were divided up prior to the festivities amongst Stereo, Matt Goldman and OBEY Clothing. OBEY Clothing’s portion will be available from their site www.obeyclothing.com on Monday at 1pm PST as well.

Mastermind Japan recently opened their first flagship outside of Japan, in the casino town of Macau. The opening event was attended by Hong Kong celebrities and designer Masaaki Homma. The day of the opening also marked the release of a limited edition MMJ Macau tee which attracted an army of skull and crossbone-wearing fans. Macau’s recent economic developments have turned it into the Las Vegas of China and Asia’s favourite place for spending disposable income, so it is no surprise to see Masaaki Homma select Macau as the city for their first flagship even in with the current economic situation.

Having previously worked together a few years ago on a Dunk Low SB, the long-serving Slam City Skates out of London announces a special spot in their downstairs. Nike SB is set to take over the basement space serving both as retail point and gallery. Starting up during the opening is part one of a three part photography exhibit featuring Percy Dean, Jerome Campbell, Henry Kingsford and Sam Ashley. Updates for part two and three will take place in May and July respectively.

The Capsule Store comes one year after the first store based in Milan. Located in Soho (176, Spring Street) along the street famous for it’s fashionable sites. The store opened March 7th, while a meet-and-greet with artist Simone Legno is scheduled for March 13th and 16th.

Celebrating Valentines Day in style, Yves Saint Laurent look to giveaway looks of their Spring/Summer 2009 Manifesto Collection in a new, interactive method. The fashion house will be uploading the photoshoot by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin onto a heart-shaped USB flashdrive. The hearts will be handed out in the streets of New York, Paris, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo alongside a Stefano Pilati designed tote bag to the first 2,000 people.

Earlier this week, Tokyo was graced with yet another great store opening.  Just like the Shinjuku Adidas store that just opened, the Shibuya store is celebrating “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” for the Adidas 2009 anniversary.  To celebrate the opening, the store was offering some limited edition goods.  Located across from Shibuya 109, this shop definitely deserves a visit.

Adidas Originals recently opened their latest Atelier Concept Store in Hong Kong. Renovating their previous space in Causeway Bay, local artist Dorophy Tang was on hand to exhibit her Shopping Baby pieces as well as art done exclusively for the store. Another noteworthy addition to one of adidas’ largest Originals collection spaces is the mi adidas Originals which allows for customization of some of adidas’ iconic lifestyle models including the Superstar, Stan Smith and ZX700.
