The fabled Los Angeles quartet Bigelf, is currently on a Progressive Nation Tour for “Cheat the Gallows,” the band’s debut release for Linda Perry’s Custard Records. The epic album is the soundtrack for new world disorder. We’re talking about a pop-cultural phenomenon shaped by the muse of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Queen and The Beatles. Bigelf are massive in stature, muscular in tone and beautifully diabolic, oozing with the credibility of artistic savant and ironclad integrity. Below is their tour schedule as well as their latest ablum’s opening song “Money, it is pure evil” hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. Money, It’s Pure Evil

UK based singer LIVAN tour in the US On 21st August2009
London based singer/song writer Livan’s sound is a healthy mixture of punk, pop and glam, and he’s already been compared to Peter Murphy, Billy Idol, The Kaiser Chiefs and Bowie. And he’ll be on tour in the US this fall to promote his new album “Happy Returns.” The title track gives a good taste of the album as a whole — its industrial vibe conjures up Billy Idol circa Generation X. A music video of his album’s title song “Happy Returns” is included below, please enjoy. And for the ones who are interested in downloading the song, click here.

Shonen Knife to Tour the US in Fall On 18th August2009
Shonen Knife, the legendary all-female Japanese pop-punk band formed in Osaka, Japan, is back again with a new album (Super Group) and tour. Since the original member and bassist Atsuko moved to Los Angeles and left the band, Naoko and Etsuko played with support bassists. On the new album “Super Group”, support bassist Ritsuko has joined the band as an official member. Now Shonen Knife has become a 3 piece band again and a super group was born.
In 2007, they released an album “fun! fun! fun!” in Japan. Since then, they’ve spent very busy days playing lots of shows, they enjoyed a North American tour, recorded a cover song for an AC/DC tribute album and played at many international rock festivals. In 2009 Shonen Knife signed a deal with Good Charamel Records to release their 14th studio album,“Super Group” to the fans in North America! Tours of Europe, Australia and North America will follow the release of the new CD – Super Group!
The concept of this album is to “go back to the starting point of ROCK”. All the lyrics on “Super Group” are written in English. The 1st song “Super Group” is very punk pop like the Buzzcocks. “Muddy Bubbles Hell” and “Pyramid Power” taste like Heavy Metal. “BBQ Party” starts with a Jonathan Richman like intro and transforms into punk rock. The harmony at the last part of “Na Na Na” is very cute. The last song is a cover of Paul McCartney and the Wings song “Jet”, the Shonen Knife version is very fun and very ROCK. This album makes everybody happy. Check out one of their music video and tour date below. You can find out more about them at their website. Rock on~

Gibson and the legendary member of classic rock band Led Zepplin’s Jimmy Page have joined voices to create a series of artist-designed guitars from both the United Kingdom and Brazil. With the well-known guitars of Gibson serving as the template, the money from the sale of the guitars will benefit the children of Brazil’s shanty-town favelas. The guitars seen here include Calma, Titi Freak, Will Barras, Daniel Melime, Inkie and Pure Evil. Alongside the ones seen here are other artist-designs (for a total of 12) which are currently being showcased as part of the A Força Da Rua (”Force Of The Streets”) exhibition at The Print Space in East London. The auctioning of the guitars will take place at The Cuckoo Club on April 29th, with the proceeds benefiting the ABC Trust.
