Crash Kings to Hit the Road with JET On 9th February2010
Highly tuneful, very aggressive, hard-hitting rock. Crash Kings take the three-man-band concept to their own unique level, quite often surpassing guitar-driven bands. When siblings and music collide it makes for what we so casually call “undeniable chemistry.” Channeling their passion, they create music so powerful it’s almost a crime—a crime that has been aided and abetted by nothing other than fate itself. Two brothers and one hard-hitting drummer come together to form an ivory-driven power trio firmly rooted in right here and right now; this is Crash Kings.
Crash Kings are ecstatic to announce their tour with Australian rockers JET. The North American trek will begin in Toronto, ON on March 5 at The Opera House. Crash Kings have previously toured with Chris Cornell, Stone Temple Pilots, The Bravery and Rooney. Their current single Mountain Man is currently #19 at Alternative Radio and the band will be showcasing at SXSW.

The Sing For China Tour will bring three of China’s biggest and best indie-rock bands to the U.S. this month as part of an unprecedented effort by the Chinese music community to help children orphaned by AIDS in China. The tour is being produced by Modern Sky Records of Beijing, China’s largest independent record label. The featured bands include: Hedgehog powered by pint-size female drummer/vocalist Atom, represent the best of China’s rock scene. The band was a featured headliner at the Modern Sky Festival in 2008 and Strawberry Festival (Beijing) in May of 2009. Hedgehog’s 2006 debut Noise Hit World was a critic favorite in China, and their 2008 release Blue Day Dreaming helped catapult them to the top of the Chinese indie-rock world. Queen Sea Big Shark Expect a barrage of rock n’ roll-electro power punches from arguably the most ferocious rockers on the Beijing scene. QSBS rarely disappoints in delivering tight, raunchy instrumentation fronted by the frenetic, full-body assault of singer Fu Han, a woman seemingly possessed on stage. The band supported the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Modern Sky Festival (Beijing) in 2007 and recently headlined the Converse sponsored “Love Noise” tour in China (featured here on the Dazed and Confused website: http://dazeddigital.com/projects/Converse-LoveNoise/Music.aspx. Casino Dream Veering from raw, noisy guitar bursts to tight, rapid-paced assaults, Casino Demon during 2006 moved from the outskirts of the Beijing live music scene to the forefront. At heart, they’re a good-time rock n’ roll band that really like to crank it up. Casino Demon recently celebrated the release of their new album, Teenage, in March of 2009.

The fabled Los Angeles quartet Bigelf, is currently on a Progressive Nation Tour for “Cheat the Gallows,” the band’s debut release for Linda Perry’s Custard Records. The epic album is the soundtrack for new world disorder. We’re talking about a pop-cultural phenomenon shaped by the muse of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Queen and The Beatles. Bigelf are massive in stature, muscular in tone and beautifully diabolic, oozing with the credibility of artistic savant and ironclad integrity. Below is their tour schedule as well as their latest ablum’s opening song “Money, it is pure evil” hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. Money, It’s Pure Evil

UK based singer LIVAN tour in the US On 21st August2009
London based singer/song writer Livan’s sound is a healthy mixture of punk, pop and glam, and he’s already been compared to Peter Murphy, Billy Idol, The Kaiser Chiefs and Bowie. And he’ll be on tour in the US this fall to promote his new album “Happy Returns.” The title track gives a good taste of the album as a whole — its industrial vibe conjures up Billy Idol circa Generation X. A music video of his album’s title song “Happy Returns” is included below, please enjoy. And for the ones who are interested in downloading the song, click here.

Shonen Knife to Tour the US in Fall On 18th August2009
Shonen Knife, the legendary all-female Japanese pop-punk band formed in Osaka, Japan, is back again with a new album (Super Group) and tour. Since the original member and bassist Atsuko moved to Los Angeles and left the band, Naoko and Etsuko played with support bassists. On the new album “Super Group”, support bassist Ritsuko has joined the band as an official member. Now Shonen Knife has become a 3 piece band again and a super group was born.
In 2007, they released an album “fun! fun! fun!” in Japan. Since then, they’ve spent very busy days playing lots of shows, they enjoyed a North American tour, recorded a cover song for an AC/DC tribute album and played at many international rock festivals. In 2009 Shonen Knife signed a deal with Good Charamel Records to release their 14th studio album,“Super Group” to the fans in North America! Tours of Europe, Australia and North America will follow the release of the new CD – Super Group!
The concept of this album is to “go back to the starting point of ROCK”. All the lyrics on “Super Group” are written in English. The 1st song “Super Group” is very punk pop like the Buzzcocks. “Muddy Bubbles Hell” and “Pyramid Power” taste like Heavy Metal. “BBQ Party” starts with a Jonathan Richman like intro and transforms into punk rock. The harmony at the last part of “Na Na Na” is very cute. The last song is a cover of Paul McCartney and the Wings song “Jet”, the Shonen Knife version is very fun and very ROCK. This album makes everybody happy. Check out one of their music video and tour date below. You can find out more about them at their website. Rock on~
