Dustin Cantrell’s Plasma Dunnys On 21st September2009

Dustin Cantrell’s work has been featured before on Tomopop with his out-of-this-world AsteroiDunnys that had a glow-in-the-dark finish. Those were pretty amazing, but he’s outdone himself with another amazing custom Dunny set, the Plasma Dunnys. They were so impressive, in fact, that KidRobot even put them up on their site when Dustin was selling them. And yes, as you can tell, that plasma lamp in the center of the Dunny’s head does indeed work.
Only three of these were ever made and they were sold at US$600 each. And yes, they’ve all already found homes, even in this bad economy. In fact, they all sold out within 24 hours of being put on KidRobot’s site, which itself might be impressive. Congrats to Dustin for not only putting together something amazing, but being able to get his work sold. I know custom vinyl can sometimes be expensive, but for how much effort had to be put into making these Dunnys, they were definitely deserving of such a high price.

Atmos x Levi’s 505 – Paisley On 16th September2009

Japanese boutique Atmos gets together with Levi’s. This time they worked on the 505 and gave it the paisley treatment. The pattern is featured on the back pockets, the higher back and also around the front pockets. Furthermore they colored all buttons red and worked with pink stitching. For our taste the outcome is a little too much, we prefer our denim more classic. The collaboration will be released in October.
