Mastermind Japan is an interesting label. Often producing no more than three of each item they design, exclusivity is one thing you’re guaranteed when buying a piece from MMJ. The latest skull and crossbones logo emblazoned item is this black cotton shoulder bag “featuring a white and brown skull motif with gold glitter writing on the front. There are two smaller skulls on the back and a black leather trim around the edges. The bag has a long black leather shoulder strap and a flap-top closure.” Of course, with exclusivity comes a price. A big price. Approximately $1560 USD at Farfetch.

Take a good look at the Zoom P-Rod III designed by Collin Callsen of Stayton, Oregon. You can tell Colin had some fun with this one, decorating the shoe with graphics and patterns in addition to the fresh color scheme. The shoe features a White upper with a Blue-tinted camouflage covering the Swoosh and laser printed motorcycles and skulls on the mudguard and toe box respectively. Also of note, a Safari-like pattern graces the heel panel and a camo effect is applied to the outsole, giving this version of the P-Rod III a fun-loving look without going too far over the top. Look for these to hit select Nike retailers in November with all proceeds going to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Franco-Hungarian Flavien Demarigny, a.k.a. Mambo worked together with Oakley on a pair of Antix sunglasses. Using popular imagery that the media and consumer society convey – with his own added codes – Mambo applies his signature humor-dotted artwork over Oakley’s frames, soft case, packaging and a unique vinyl figure. Conveniently enough, the figure plays a second role as a sunglass stand. Drops next month.
